Welcome to the Colorado State Doubles- 2013
This event will be held at the Highlands Ranch Recreation Center- Northridge. You can play in two events, but only one can be a skills level (Open, Elite, A, B,C), one can be age, or one can be mixed (Open, Elite, A,B,C). Two matches are guaranteed in all divisions.
The following USA Racquetball rules will be enforced!
Rule 4.1 Doubles Team
(a) A doubles team shall consist of two players who meet either the age requirements or player classification requirements to participate in a particular division of play. A team with different skill levels must play in the division of the player with the higher level of ability. When playing in an adult age division, the team must play in the division of the younger player. When playing in a junior age division, the team must play in the division of the older player.
(b) A change in playing partners may be made so long as the first match of the posted team has not begun. For this purpose only, the match will be considered started once the teams have been called to the court. The team must notify the Tournament Director of the change prior to the beginning of the match.
Century Plus Division: Division for teams whose COMBINED age is 100-or-above ... 35+65 ... 45+55 ... 50+50 ... Pick your partner (male or female) and tally your combined ages - if it reaches the 100 mark, you'll qualify for play in this special division.
You must be a CRA/USRA member in good standing, and able to provide proof of Colorado residency. You may purchase a membership when you enter.
We will be offering an Early Bird discount of $10, SIGN UP NOW. Your entry must be received by Monday, October 28th- 9 PM for this savings.
Collegiate Players (18-25 with Student ID): $25 first event / $15 second event
Juniors (18 & under): $25 first event / $15 second event
To receive the collegiate or junior discount, you must phone in your entry by the deadline.
The final deadline is Saturday, November 2nd- 9 PM.
Start times will be posted after 1 PM, Wednesday, November 6th.
Let us know of any potential conflicts and be prepared to play by 5:30 PM on November 7th (if needed) and 8th, and 8 AM on the 9th and 10th. Losers must referee immediately following their match or find a suitable replacement. Awards will be given based upon the number of entries in each division.
RACQUET DRIVE for JUNIORS! If you have new gear for the new season, clear out your equipment locker and bring your old frames to State Doubles. They'll be donated to Junior programs in Colorado!
