Yes, it’s our 25th
anniversary, and we’re looking to make it a great event.
Registrations are now open for the
Women's Weekend Squash Event 2018.
Sign up ASAP as registrations numbers, and skort sizes and colours, are limited.
The event is scheduled to take place at the Edmonton Squash Club on 15330-111
Avenue, from February 2 - 4, 2018.
$95.00 for Squash Alberta Members
$105.00 for Non Squash Alberta Members
$10.00 Student discount – (for players with a valid student ID number). Use
coupon code STUDENT.
$85.00 for Non-player package including skort or shorts ($10 discount for Squash AB
Entry deadline: Sunday, January 14th,
2018 at 11pm (or earlier if maximum numbers are reached beforehand).
Please note that there will be NO
THURSDAY NIGHT PLAY.
All players must be available to start at 5:15pm on Friday Feb 2nd
The tournament will be finished no later than 3:30pm on Sunday Feb 4th
Singles squash (104 entries max – enter either Singles “All Divisions. Open
players enter “Open” Division)
Doubles "hardball" squash (16 teams max – enter Doubles “All
Divisions” and we will place teams in divisions of 4)

THIS YEARS TOURNAMENT INCLUDES:
· Tournament Souvenir – Lija “Hustle” Skort or Harrow “Endurance” shorts
· Draws of 8 players, which guarantees 3 matches for all players.
· Friday night wine, beer & cheese sponsored by Lanigan & Edwards, Parmalat and
· Saturday night finals and court-side pasta & salad
· Free 1 hour clinic “Drills for faster feet on court” for all players on
Saturday afternoon from 1:30-2:30 pm.
· Light breakfast on Sat & Sun mornings at ESC.
· Prizes for 1st, 2nd, 3rd and Consolation
winners in each singles division. Harrow racquets for 1st place in each singles division.
· Prizes for 1st, and 2nd
in each doubles division. Bancroft doubles racquets for 1st place in each doubles division.
· Most 1st/2nd and a few 3rd/4th
playoff matches in the Singles event start Saturday at 6pm, and should be
finished by 9pm. All other finals are on Sunday.
· Saturday evening activity: “Bubble
Soccer” on the doubles court
SOUVENIR – CHOOSE SKORT OR SHORTS:
Go to the following website to see the style of skort we have chosen for our 25th anniversary!
The skorts are 1 colour (they are not the patterned print in the
picture on the Lija website) - either Ultraviolet (purple) or Stratosphere
(grey). The size guide is also on the same page.
We have had to guess on quantities, colours and sizes for our
souvenirs, as skorts are being custom made for this event, and had to be
ordered earlier this week; and the shorts are coming from the US, and they need a 5-week
turnaround for shipping and clearing customs.
EXTRA TICKETS FOR GUESTS:
You can purchase extra tickets for both Friday & Saturday night events
Please note that it is cheaper to buy your tickets online, rather than at the
Friday Wine & Cheese - $10.00 online. $15.00 at the event.
Saturday Pasta & Salad - $20.00 online. $30.00 at the event.
Tournament registration will be capped at 104 singles players.
We will create a waitlist for singles players, and will move players into vacated spots in each draw according to the ability levels needed.
Tournament registration will be capped at 32 doubles players (16 teams).
We are offering 4 divisions of doubles this year, with a maximum of 4 teams in each division.
Enter "All Divisions" and teams will be placed in divisions based on their ability. Each team is guaranteed
If you are already playing in the
singles event, and also want to play in the doubles event, then please contact
Julie Multamaki at firstname.lastname@example.org.
If we don’t reach max. capacity in the doubles event then we will add
teams/players from the doubles waitlist, based on which divisions need filling.
The extra cost to play in the doubles event is $35.00pp. You cannot have any
time constraints if you end up playing both events.
No refunds after the deadline date.
All refunds are subject to a $10
admin fee, as we still have to pay fees on both the processing of the original
payment, and the processing of the refund etc.
