(Check back here often for tourney
updates as they happen.)
Update April 30, 2018: I've made available the start times and draws. If you see a lot of matches in a row, don't panic. We will get the matches played and you will get a break between divisions. The schedule is completely full, with a built-in break around lunchtime, but we will be on time and get all of the matches in. Call if you see any trouble with the schedule that can't wait until I see you in person. See you at check-in night at the club Tuesday 5 to 8, or 45 minutes before your first match!
Update April 19, 2018: The main deadline has passed but I extended it a little and a few more people snuck in. Very nice. I haven't yet started doing match times, and until then, call me if you need changes. I will be arranging partners, per your requests, in the next few days. Don't panic if you aren't paired up yet, but also don't hesitate to call if you want to ask me anything. I may call and ask if you would be willing to play doubles--sometimes I need a person, and sometimes I need a reserve in case of injury. Plan on coming to Tuesday night check-in for hot appetizers and beverages, and set aside Friday night May 4, for our special banquet at the host hotel. Guests are welcome for $50 but please try to let me know so I have enough tables and chairs. 303.888.4461 is my cell.
Update April 17, 2018: We originally thought we might have to limit the number of entries to 100, but we will make sure we accept all players up to 140 by tweaking the schedule. Sign up by tomorrow evening. And bring a friend.
Update April 4, 2018: The host hotel is sold out. Check the Hotel link in the menu above to see alternate hotel suggestions. Shuttle will not run to these hotels. Check the "Share a Room" list or contact Cindy if you need a roommate--some people may already have a room at the Hotel Indigo and want to split the cost.
Short But Important Update March 25, 2018: Do not even THINK about using LaGuardia as your airport, according to Peggy Prentiss and Jonathan Clay. Unless you know exactly what you are doing, ONLY USE NEWARK. And make your Hotel Indigo reservations TODAY so I can get more rooms if we need them! Thanks!
Update March 12, 2018: Hotel Indigo is ready to accept reservations for our group. Sign up today!
Update March 9, 2018: Our host hotel will be the Hotel Indigo in Basking Ridge, about four miles from the club. Please download the new Info Sheet from our nmra.info website, and check the Hotel link on this R2Sports tourney site. The hotel will be ready to take reservations very shortly--there is a monster snowstorm in the Northeast that is causing some power outages. Thanks for being patient. We will see you in Warren on May 1 for check-in night. Special thanks go to Peggy and Jerry Prentiss for helping me with all of these challenges. :-)
Important Update March 6, 2018: The original hotel will NOT be open in time for our event, so we are in the process of deciding between two great options. If you have reservations at the original hotel, give us a day or two and we will let you know where to get a new room. So sorry for the inconvenience! We were promised the original hotel would be open by January. Check back here on March 8! Thanks so much for your patience and understanding. ct
