For the 2019
Beach Bash, even the Men’s and Women’s Pro doubles pool play seeding will be
done exactly per WOR 12 month rolling rankings as of the end of February, as
posted on the WOR website. Therefore, the
pools winners will flow into the playoffs exactly as calculated by R2 sports.
exception is that for both Men’s and Women’s Pro Doubles, the 2018 finalists
will get the #1 and #2 seed if the team is still intact. If team is not intact, the team will be
seeded based on YTD rolling rankings as stated above.
Rolon/Dave Blatt will be the #1 seed in the Men’s Pro Doubles, with
2018 finalists Robert Sostre/Freddy Ramirez as the #2 seed. This assumes each team stays intact. Same for the Women’s Pro Doubles: Michele
Harrigan/Hollie Scott will be seeded #1, and Melissa Santiago/Susan Stephen
will be #2 seed, assuming each team stays intact.
that playoffs seeding will not be redone if the top seeds don’t come out as
pool winner. Meaning, whoever wins pool
#1 will advance in the playoffs earning the #1 seed’s spot on the draws.
the number of pools, the pool play runner’s up may play another round of pool
play to determine who advances into playoffs. Will be clearly defined and posted at event.
