Welcome to the WCRC Cal Spring 2019 Shootout!
This will be a laid back tournament that will give you the opportunity to see how you stack up against other collegiate and community players. All divisions will be pool play and win or lose you will play a bunch of racquetball! Entry fees are only $5.00 for non-collegiate individuals and a link to it can be found here:
You will need to register for a Rec Sports account which will take a few minutes and ask for basic information. This link will also be provided at the tournament check-in.
There will be beginners, intermediate, and advanced level players. Players must be over the age of 14 and with a parent or guardian if under 18 years of age due to RSF policy. Divisions are set up to match folks that are similar in skill level with division 1 being the most advanced. Sign up for a division that you think would best suit you! The Individual Division will be a mix of all types of players. Therefore, players may go up against extremely tough opponents given their skill level. If you have any concerns regarding skill level, please let us know so that we may accommodate by placing you in one of the collegiate divisions.
Come check out the UC Berkeley campus and cruise around to explore the city afterward. Matches begin at 9:00 am and will be done before dinner.
The address for the tournament is 2301 Bancroft Way, Berkeley, CA 94720. Once you enter the main entrance to the Recreational Sports Facility, walk to the left to find the front desk and let them know that you are there for the Racquetball Tournament. They should allow you into the facility. Once past the gate, walk all the way to the end of the hallway just until the Basketball Courts and the Tournament Check-in Table will be located on the left. Please try to arrive at least 10 minutes before 9:00 am! This will allow us to get everyone's entry fee settled before matches begin.
There are several parking options around the Recreational Sports Facility on campus. Parking on campus right by RSF (entrance on Bancroft, same side as the entrance to RSF) is $2/hr, or you can park at the North Berkeley Bart parking lot for $1/day. Alternatively, street parking will be free since it's a Saturday on the streets south of Durant and west of Ellsworth streets but may be difficult to find.
If you have any question, email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
There will be prizes for everyone!
