    Sports

    Air Hockey

    Air hockey is a game where 2 players play against each other on a low-friction table. Air hockey requires an air-hockey table, two player-held strikers, and a puck.

    Archery

    Target archery is the most popular form of archery, in which members shoot at stationary circular targets at varying distances. All types of bow - longbow, barebow, recurve and compound - can be used. 

    Arm Wrestling

    Competitive arm wrestling, as sanctioned by the USAF ,is performed with both competitors standing up with their arms placed on a tournament arm wrestling table.

    Backgammon

    The object of Backgammon is for each player to bring all his men into his home board, and then to bear them off the board. The first player to get all his men off the board is the winner.

    Badminton

    Badminton is a sport played in singles or doubles formats.  Players are positioned on opposite halves of a court divided by a net. 

    Baseball

    Baseball is a bat-and-ball game played between two teams of nine players each who take turns batting and fielding.  By the late 19th century, baseball was widely recognized as the national sport of the United States.

    Basketball

    Basketball is a sport played by two teams of five players on a rectangular court. The objective is to shoot a ball through a hoop mounted to a backboard at each end. Basketball is one of the world's most popular and widely viewed sports.

    Baton Twirling

    Twirling is a sport involving the manipulation of a metal rod and the human body to a coordinated routine. Twirling combines dance, agility, coordination, Flexibility gymnastics, and many more while manipulating a single baton or multiple batons.

    Bean Bag Toss / Cornhole

    Bean Bag Toss/Cornhole is similar to horseshoes except you use wooden boxes called cornhole platforms and corn bags. The game is generally played tournament style with an individual or team being named the champion at the end of the tournament.

    Billiards

    Billiards is played on a flat table covered with cloth and bounded by rubber cushions. Players use pool cues to strike a cue ball which in turn strikes object balls. The goal is to drive object balls into six pockets located at the cushion boundary.

    Board Games

    Board games are tabletop games that involve counters of pieces moved or placed on a board, according to a set of rules. Some games are based on strategy, but many contain an element of chance, and some are purely chance, with no element of skill.

    Bowling

    Bowling is both a fun way to spend time with friends and a serious competitive sport. Bowling is a very popular indoor sporting activity. There exist a myriad of leagues and competitions for dexterous bowlers to demonstrate their expertise.

    Boxing

    Boxing is a martial art and combat sport in which two people throw punches at each other, usually with gloved hands. 

    Chess

    Chess is a two-player strategy board game played on a chessboard, a checkered gameboard with 64 squares arranged in an 8×8 grid. The game is played by millions of people worldwide.

    Cricket

    Cricket is a bat-and-ball game played between two teams of eleven players each on a cricket field, at the center of which is a rectangular 22-yard-long pitch with a target called the wicket at each end.

    Cross Country

    Cross country running a sport in which teams and individuals run a race on open-air courses over natural terrain. It is a natural terrain version of long-distance track and road running.

    Curling

    Curling is a sport in which players slide stones on a sheet of ice towards a target area which is segmented into four concentric circles. It is related to bowls, boules and shuffleboard.

    Darts

    Darts is a form of throwing sport in which small missiles are thrown at a circular dartboard fixed to a wall.  The term darts usually refers to a standardized game involving a specific board design and set of rules.

    Disc Golf

    Disc golf, also called frisbee golf, is a flying disc sport in which players throw a disc at a target, and is played using rules like golf.  Players seek to complete a course in the lowest number of throws.

    Diving

    Diving the sport of jumping or falling into water from a platform or springboard, usually while performing acrobatics. Diving is an internationally recognized sport that is part of the Olympic Games.

    Dodgeball

    Dodgeballs objective of each team is to eliminate all members of the other team by hitting them with thrown balls, catching a ball thrown by the opposing team, or forcing them to move outside the court boundaries when a ball is thrown at them.

    Dominoes

    Dominoes is a game played with rectangular domino tiles. The domino gaming pieces make up a domino set, sometimes called a deck or pack.  Domino tiles, also known as bones.

    Electronic Sports

    An electronic sport involves human interaction with an user interface to generate visual feedback on a video device. The electronic systems used to play video games are known as platforms.

    Equestrian

    Equestrian is more often known as riding, horseback riding ,horse riding referring to the skill of riding, driving, steeplechasing or vaulting with horses.

    Fencing

    Fencing is a sport that two competitors fight using swords called the foil, the epee and sabre; winning point are made through the contact with an opponent.  Fencing was one of the first sports to be played in the Olympics. 

    Fishing

    A fishing derby is an organized competition among anglers.  Fishing tournaments typically take place as a series of competitive events around or on a body of water with specific rules for each event. 

    Flag Football

    Flag football a version of American football where the rules of the game are similar to those of the mainstream game but instead of tackling players, the defensive team must remove a flag or flag belt from the ball carrier to end a down.

    Foosball

    Foosball, also known as table football, is a table-top game that is based loosely on soccer.  Foosball can be played by singles or doubles.

    Football

    Football as a whole is the most popular sport in the USA; pro football and college football are the most popular forms of the game, with the other major levels being high school and youth football.

    Golf

    Golf is a club and ball sport in which players use various clubs to hit balls into a series of holes on a course in as few strokes as possible. The game is played on a course with an arranged progression of either nine or 18 holes.

    Gymnastics

    Gymnastics is a sport involving the performance of exercises requiring flexibility, balance and control.  Evolved from exercises used by the ancient Greeks.

    Handball

    Handball is played in a court, which a ball must be struck by a player’s hand. The objective of a game is to score a set total of points before your opponent does. Points are only scored by the person serving the ball.

    Hap Ki Do

    Hapkido is a highly eclectic Korean martial art. It is a form of self-defense that employs joint locks, grappling and throwing techniques of other martial arts, as well as kicks, punches, and other striking attacks.

    Ice Hockey

    Ice hockey is played on a large flat area of ice, a puck. The game is between two teams of skaters. The game is played all over North America, Europe and in many other countries around the world to varying extent.

    In-Line Hockey

    In-line hockey, also referred as roller hockey, is a team sport played on a wood, asphalt, cement or sport tile surface. Players use a hockey stick to shoot a hard plastic hockey puck into their opponent's goal to score points.

    Jiu Jitsu

    Jujutsu is a Japanese martial art and a method of close combat for defeating an armed and armored opponent in which one uses no weapon or only a short weapon.

    Judo

    Judo is a modern martial art, combat and Olympic sport created in Japan. The objective is to either throw or takedown an opponent to the ground, immobilize or subdue an opponent with a pin, or make an opponent submit with a joint lock or a choke.

    Jump Rope

    Jump rope is where one or more participants jump over a rope swung so that it passes under their feet and over their heads.  There are multiple subsets of jump rope.  There are hundreds of competitive teams all around the world.

    Karate

    Karate is a striking art using punching, kicking, knee strikes, elbow strikes and open hand techniques as knife-hands, spear-hands, palm-heel strikes. Some modern styles grappling, throws, joint locks, restraints, and vital point strikes are taught.

    Lacrosse

    Lacrosse is a contact team sport played between two teams using a rubber ball and a long-handled stick called a lacrosse stick. It is considered as a rough sport, although injuries are less frequent than in football and other contact sports.

    Paddle Tennis

    Paddle tennis is a game adapted from tennis and played for over a century. The court is smaller and has no doubles lanes, and the net is lower. It is played with a solid paddle as opposed to a strung racquet, and a depressurized tennis ball

    Paddleball

    Paddleball is game that consists in hitting a small rubber ball against a wall by using paddles. Can be played in singles or in doubles. The Rule of the game is that the ball must hit the wall without touching the floor more than once to be a rally.

    Paintball

    Paintball is a sport in which players compete, in teams or individually, to eliminate opponents by tagging them with paintballs propelled from a paintball gun.

    Party Pong

    Party pong, is a game that players throw a ping pong ball across a table landing the ball in a cup on the other end. It typically consists of opposing teams of two or more players per side with 6 or 10 cups set up in a triangle formation on each side.

    Pickleball

    Pickleball is a racquet sport that combines elements of badminton, tennis, and table tennis. Two, three, or four players use solid paddles made of wood or composite materials to hit a perforated polymer ball, similar to a wiffle ball, over a net.

    Pipe Band

    A pipe band is a musical ensemble consisting of pipers and drummers. The Scottish/Irish pipe band, consists of a section of pipers, a section of, several tenor drummers and bass drummers.

    Racquetball

    Racquetball was the first sport to start using R2 Sports back in 2001.  Racquetball has more events and data for the app than any other sport!

    Robotics

    A robotic competition is an event where robots have to accomplish a task. Usually they have to beat other robots in order to become the best one.  Most competitions are for schools but several professional competitions are arising.

    Rugby

    Rugby is a contact team sport which originated in England. It is based on running with the ball in hand. A game is between two teams of 15 players using an oval-shaped ball on a rectangular field with H-shaped goalposts on each try line.

    Running and Walking

    Race walking, is a long-distance discipline within the sport of athletics. Although it is a foot race, it is different from running in that one foot must appear to be in contact with the ground at all times.

    Sand Volleyball

    Beach volleyball is a team sport played by two teams of two players on a sand court divided by a net.The object of the game is to send the ball over the net and to ground it on the opponent's court, and to prevent the same effort by the opponent.

    Shooting

    A shooting sport is a competitive sport involving tests of proficiency using various types of guns such as firearms and airguns. The shooting sports are categorized by the type of firearm, targets, and distances at which the targets are shot.

    Shuffleboard

    Table shuffleboard is a game that players push weighted pucks from a long and smooth wooden table into a scoring area at the opposite end of the table.  The object of the game is to slide all four pucks alternately against those of an opponent.

    Skateboarding

    Skateboarding is an action sport which involves riding and performing tricks using a skateboard. Skateboarding has been shaped and influenced by many skateboarders throughout the years.

    Skiing

    Skiing is a mode of transport, recreational activity and competitive winter sport in which the participant uses skis to glide on snow. Many types of competitive skiing events are recognized by the IOC, and the FIS.

    Soccer

    Soccer is a sport played between two teams of eleven players with a ball. The game is played on a rectangular field with a goal at each end. The object of the game is to score by getting the ball into the opposing goal.

    Softball

    Fastpitch softball  is a variant of baseball played with a larger ball on a smaller field. The pitch is fast, nine players on the field at one time, and bunting and stealing are permitted. Softball rules vary somewhat from those of baseball.

    Squash

    Squash is a racquet sport played in singles or doubles in a four-walled court with a small, rubber ball. The players must alternate in striking the ball with their racquet and hit the ball onto the playable surfaces of the four walls of the court.

    Strongman

    Strongman describe one who competes in strength athletics – a more modern eclectic strength competition in which competitors lift rocks, tote refrigerators, pull trains, walk while towing an eighteen wheel truck behind them, etc.

    Surfing

    Surfing is a surface water sport in which the wave rider, referred to as a surfer, rides on the forward or deep face of a moving wave, which is usually carrying the surfer towards the shore.  The term surfing refers to the act of riding a wave.

    Swimming

    Swimming is an individual or team sport and activity. Competitive swimming is one of the most popular Olympic sports, with events in freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, and butterfly.

    Synchronized Swimming

    Synchronized swimming is a form of swimming, dance and gymnastics, consisting of swimmers (either solos, duets, trios, combos, or teams) performing a synchronized routine of elaborate moves in the water, accompanied by music.

    Table Tennis

    Table tennis, also known as ping pong, is a sport in which two or four players hit a ball back and forth across a table using a small, round bat. The game takes place on a hard table divided by a net.

    Taekwondo

    Taekwondo is a Korean martial art with a heavy emphasis on kicks. A blend of the indigenous Korean fighting styles of taekkyeon, gwonbeop, and subak, with influence from foreign martial arts, such as Karate and Chinese martial arts.

    Tennis

    Tennis is a sport that can be played in singles or doubles. Players use a racket to hit balls over a net and into the opponent's court.  The object of the game is to play the ball in such a way that the opponent cannot make good return.

    Track and Field

    Track and field is a sport which combines various athletic contests based on the skills of running, jumping, and throwing. It is one of the oldest sports. In ancient times, it was an event held in conjunction with festivals and sports meets.

    Vaping / Cloud-Chasing

    Vaping competitions, known as cloud-chasing, is the activity of blowing large clouds of vapor using an electronic cigarette.

    Volleyball

    Volleyball is a team sport in which two teams of six players are separated by a net. Each team tries to score points by grounding a ball on the other team's court. 

    Wakeboarding

    Wakeboarding is a water sport that involves riding a wakeboard over the surface of a body of water. The wakeboard is a small, mostly rectangular, thin board with very little displacement and shoe-like bindings mounted to it.

    Wallyball

    Wallyball is a fast-paced sport.  It is basically volleyball played in a racquetball court, where it is legal to hit the ball off of the walls. The idea was an attempt to help bring more business into the club in the summer months.

    Washers

    Washers is a game, like horseshoes, that involves teams of players that take turns tossing washers towards a box or hole.  The game has many variations.

    Water Polo

    Water polo is a team water sport. The game consists of 4 quarters in which the two teams attempt to score goals by throwing the ball into their opponent's goal, with the team with the most goals at the end of the game winning the match.

    Weight Lifting

    Weightlifting is an athletic discipline in the modern Olympic program in which the athlete attempts a maximum-weight single lift of a barbell loaded with weight plates.  The two competition lifts in order are the snatch and the clean and jerk.

    Wiffleball

    Wiffle ball is a variation of the sport of baseball designed for indoor or outdoor play in confined areas. The game is played using a perforated, light-weight, resilient plastic ball and a long, typically yellow, plastic bat.

    Wrestling

    Wrestling is a combat sport involving grappling type techniques.  Wrestling can be either theatrical or competitive.  A wrestling bout is a physical competition, between two competitors who attempt to gain and maintain a superior position.
